Surrender

If you are having difficulties with a bird, we will do our best to assist you in keeping your companion. We will be more than happy to offer advice and counseling. We are able to assist you via telephone and email. If you must find a new home for your bird, we may be able to help you. Call or email us. If you know of a bird being abused or neglected, call law enforcement first then get in touch with us.

When surrendering bird(s), their cage usually needs to accompany them. A new arrival is required, for the health of the birds residing here, to remain in quarantine for up to 3 months. Don't let the word quarantine scare you. Ours is a very nice light room with windows overlooking the forest that surrounds us.

By surrendering a bird, you will be required to sign a form relinquishing your rights to said bird. You will also be asked to fill out a history on the bird - the purpose of this is to properly meet its personal needs, resulting in better care. You are generally welcome to visit your relinquished bird here with an approved appointment only.
